REYNOLDS
Mr. Robert Lewis (Bob) Reynolds, age 92, of Lyerly, GA, passed away peacefully April 9, 2022 at Wellspring Hospice in Marietta, GA after a brief illness.
Mr. Reynolds was born October 6, 1929 at home in Summerville, GA, son of the late Lonnie Lee Reynolds and Alice Mae Ragland Reynolds. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Summerville where he was a deacon in prior years. He was retired from various jobs at the Georgia Rug Mill, now Mohawk. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Louise Rosser Reynolds; brothers, Claude Lee “Bud” Reynolds, Leric Reynolds, Raymond Reynolds, and Joe David Reynolds; sisters, Ruby Mae Reynolds Lecroy, Maxine Reynolds Lee; and sister-in-laws, Louise Reynolds, Nelda Reynolds, & June Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his son, David Lewis Reynolds (Teresa), daughters, Donna Jean Wright (Thomas), and Nancy Ann Daniel (David). Brother: Cecil Morris Reynolds; Sisters in Law: Juanita Reynolds and Joyce Reynolds; brother-in-law, Billy Joe Lee; 5 grandchildren: Jason Wright (Sarah), Kevin Daniel (LeAnna), Amy Lamb (Seth), Matthew Daniel (Kendele), and Andrew Daniel. Two great-grandchildren: Everett & Lydia Daniel. Many nieces and nephews also blessed his life.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Rainwater Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 12th at Summerville First Baptist Church with Dr. Sean Wegener, Rev. Jason Wright, Rev. Kevin Daniel Amy Wright & Rev. Matthew Daniel officiating. Mr. Reynolds will be in state from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church. WITT
WALTER WILLIAM LEROY WITT, age 83, of Trion, Georgia, passed away, with Family by his side, on April 8, 2022. LeRoy proudly served his country in the Army. LeRoy retired from Mount Vernon Mills in September of 2000. He was a proud member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and was a regular attender in his Sunday School class. LeRoy was son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Witt, and was preceded in death by his first wife Marion Jean Witt, sisters, Anne Bell Mann and Clarice Littlejohn; brothers, J. C. Witt and Raymond Witt; grandson, Jonathan Morris.
LeRoy is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lydia Witt; children and step-children, Stacy (Janette) Witt, Sandra (Buddy) Parks, Debbie Brown, Traci (Tommy) Latiolais; twelve grandchildren, Ryan Witt, Scott Witt, Dylan Witt, Jennifer (Kevin) Cheely, Dusty (Kaitlin) Brown, Cody (Raegan) Brown, Victoria (Carter) Harris, and Alexander Morris; four great grandchildren, Landon Witt, Breeland Brown, Briggs Brown, and Keegan Brown; sister-in-law, Deedle Scott. LeRoy also had several Nieces and Nephews, that he loved dearly.
LeRoy loved his family and always considered those around him family as well. He was most proud of his wife and his dog, Mia. LeRoy loved to make people laugh and Share Jesus with those around him. He was most famous for his intentional prayers and the relationship he had with Jesus. LeRoy had a love for cars and even owned 2 Model “A”’s in his lifetime; in spare time, LeRoy was an avid woodworker. LeRoy was the true example of this scripture, “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches and favor is better than silver or gold”. The contagious smile, His love for Jesus and his love for others will always live in our hearts and never be forgotten. LeRoy would want his legacy to continue on by sharing Christ with those around you.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11th, at 11:00 A.M. at Ridgeway Baptist Church, Ridgeway Road, LaFayette, GA.-30728, with Pastor Damon Perry and Pastor Todd Smith officiating, interment to follow at West Hill Cemetery. MR. DAVID CLEAVE BROWN, age 73, of D. C. Brown Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, in a Rome hospital. A native of Chattooga County, He was born to the late Daniel C. Brown and Cleavie Little Brown on November 11, 1948. He was retired from the former Galey & Lord Mill, a member of Grace Baptist Church, and a member of Floyd Springs Lodge F & AM. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, the late Frances Elifair White Brown.
Surviving are His sons Dakota Brown and David Charles Brown; grandsons, Brandon Brown, Brannon Brown, Branson Brown, and Brantley Brown; sister, Carolyn Luallen; several Nieces and Nephews.
