MS. CYNTHIA RENEE BEARDEN, age 46, of Kirby Hollow Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday (November 30, 2010) afternoon from injuries received in an automobile accident near Summerville earlier Tuesday. She was born on July 18, 1964.

Surviving are daughter-Mae Kayla Bearden; son-Donavaughn Bearden; mother-Patricia E. Kirby all of Summerville; father-Quinton Ash of Dallas, GA.; grandmother-Ruby Kirby of Summerville; sister-Tammy Parker of Summerville; brothers-Tracy Carter and Ray Pettyjohn both of Trion; grandchildren-Gavin Bearden and Alexis Bearden; former husband-Donald Bearden; several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday (December 3rd) at 2 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Waydell Howell and Rev. Gary Howell officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Active Pallbearers Tony Bearden, Jim Bearden, Tim McArthur, David Fowler, Shawn McCary, and Phil Langston. Visitation will be Friday 12 noon to 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

MRS. PANZY LOUISE BARNETT, age 88, of Greeson Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday (November 29, 2010) in the local nursing home. Born in Fort Payne, Alabama on February 2, 1922; Mrs. Barnett attended the Living Waters Ministry and was preceded in death by her husband the late Lois Barnett and a daughter the late Joyce Ann Johnson.

Surviving are 2 daughters-Jearline Johnson and Christine Hines both of Summerville; sister-Lora Mae Brown of Chattanooga; 2 brothers-Larry White and LeRoy White both of Chattanooga; grandchildren-Linda Gail Shaw and Terry Wayne Crowe of Trion, Steven Lee Crowe of LaFayette, Robert Lee Hines of Trion, and Jimmy Lee Hines of Summerville; several Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (December 1st) at 4 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright and Rev. Junior Evans officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Eddie Shaw, Bradley Clayton, Robert Lee Hines, Jay Ledford, Bit Turner, and Mickey Barnett. The Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 4 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

MRS. SYBIL PAULINE WILLIAMS, age 85, of Myers Avenue-Trion, Georgia passed away Sunday (November 28, 2010) morning in a LaFayette nursing home. A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, She was born to the late Jesse and Hettie Mae Bean Lancaster on November 2, 1925. Mrs. William was a member of Trion First Baptist Church and was retired Executive Secretary for Riegel Textile Mill with 48 plus years of service. She was preceded in death by husband-Jack Thomas Williams, son-Greg Williams, sister-Jean Witt, and a brother-Willard Lancaster.

Surviving are sister and spouse- Yvonne & Wayne (Deedle) Scott of Chickmauga; brothers & spouses-Allen & Mildred Lancaster of Valdosta and Lee & Kathleen Lancaster of Dalton; sister-in-law-Rose Lancaster of Rome; brother-in-law-LeRoy Will of Trion; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday (November 29th) at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cordel officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Nephews. The Family will receive friends Sunday (November 28th) from 6 until P P.M. at the Funeral Home and request in lieu of flowers contributions to the Trion First Baptist Building Fund.

MR. JOHN MARLIN CRANE, age 60, of Gore-Subligna Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday morning in a Rome hospital. A son of the late John Roy and Dorothy Pierce Crane, Mr. Crane a loving husband, father, and was affectionately known as PoP Pa by his grandchildren. He was born in Floyd County on July 30, 1950, a member and Sunday School Teacher of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was retired from AT&T.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hawkins Crane; children and spouses- Ben & Anamaria Crane of White, GA., Matt & Christina Crane of Rome, Tasha & Lester Jenkins of Cartersville, and Kaela Hayes of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Grandchildren- John Lucas Crane, Connor Crane, Brady Jenkins & Emery Jenkins.

Funeral services will be Sunday (November 21, 2010) at 2:00 P.M. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating, interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Shaw, Jack Owings, Jeff Owings, Danny Ray Mathis, Robert Mathis, Lee Reed, Ray Davis and Jimmy Barron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Gilbreath, Jimmy Cooper, Frank Fowler, Hunter Burden, Quentin Smith, Mike Mason, Walt Brock, Gene Kendrick, Calvin Brown, Jerry Mixon, Glenda Williams, Linda Scoggins and Wylene Gillespie. MRS. MARGIE SIMMONS PURCELL, age 94, on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, went home to be with the Lord. She was born October 2, 1916 to the late Ernest Simmons and Rachel Jones Simmons. She was a Charter employee of Best Mfg. Company in Menlo, Georgia, a member of the Best Silver Club, and a member of the Menlo Church of Christ. Among her many talents was the life long ability to make beautiful quilts, which she shared with her family and friends. She was able to enjoy this talent until her last days. She is the widow of the late Frank Eugene Purcell to whom she was married for 57 years; in addition to parents she was preceded in death by a son the late Jimmy Purcell, four Brothers, and four Sisters.

She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law-Kenneth & Maureen Purcell of Douglasville, Paul & Doris Purcell of Trion; daughter and son-in-law-Glenda & Jackie Hamilton of Menlo; 7 grandsons & wives-Don & Patti Purcell, Randy Hamilton, Bobby Purcell, Chris & Kathy Purcell, Kelly & Gini Hamilton, Kendall & Paula Purcell, Aubrey & Brandi Purcell; 10 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Granddaughter; sisters-in-law-Willie Henry Simmons, Louetta Simmons, Dixie Spraggins, & Jesse Purcell; brother-in-law-Claude Russell; Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4th, at 1:00 P.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Ministers Emerson Blythe and Ralph Wallin officiating, interment in Trinity Cemetery.
