Mrs. Mary Bailey

MRS. EVELYN BAILEY, age 91, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, evening in the local nursing home.  A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, She was born to the late Ralph and Sara Jane Dean Dover on April 14, 1926.  Mrs. Bailey was retired from the forming department of Best Mfg. Company and a member of the Berryton Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the late James Bryant “Shorty” Bailey, on June 3, 2008.

            Surviving are daughters & spouses, Glenda Farrow, Jane & Steve Love, Patricia & John Jennings, Marsha Noles, & Cheri Beene; son & spouse, Jimmy & Linda Bailey; sisters, Pauline Schrader & Doris Fulton; seven Grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2nd, at 11:00 A.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Lee and Rev. Gary Howell officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden.  Active Pallbearers Glenn Trapp, Michael Jennings, Tad Scott, Mike Shireman, William Wood, and Chase Browning; Honorary Pallbearers Members of the Berryton Church of God.  The Family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Craig

MR. THOMAS “TOMMY” CRAIG, age 66, of Mt. View Community, Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, evening in a Rome hospital.  A native of Trion, Georgia, He was born on June 27, 1951,to the the late Dillard and Daisy Hawkins Craig.  Mr. Craig attended the Fellowship Baptist Church and was retired from the Denim Finishing department of Mount Vernon Mills.  He was preceded in death by a sister, the late Barbara Jean Craig, sister-in-law, the late Carolyn Craig, and mother-in-law, the late Julie Townsend.

            Surviving are His wife of 48 years, Mary Ruth Craig; daughter, Tammy Ward; sons, Edward Craig and Stephen Craig; sister, Susie Mae Edgeworth; brothers, R. D. Craig, Leon Craig, and Johnny Craig; 16 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral  Home.  Active Pallbearers will be Family members, interment in West Hill Cemetery.  The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Saturday, from 1:30 until the hour of service.

Mr. Nedwin Zane Williams

MR. NEDWIN ZANE WILLIAMS, age 44, of Highway #48, Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, November 24, 2017, following an extended illness.  Born in Floyd County, Georgia on November8, 1973, He was a son of the late Nedwin Ray Williams and Joyce Ann Stephens Williams, who survives.  Mr. Williams was a 1992 graduate of Chattooga High School and attended Coosa Valley Technical College.  He was an electrician for Fox Systems, Inc. of Calhoun.

            Surviving are His wife, Linda Williams; son, Ethan Williams; mother, Joyce Williams; aunts and uncles, Doug and Mary Stephens, Ronnie and Sherry Stephens, and James “Tudor” Bennett.

            Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 26th, at 4:30 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wells officiating, interment in the Family plot of Lyerly Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Greg Lewis, Jackie Pritchett, Jason Harris, Chuck Harris, Thad Shives, Lamar Spraggins; Honorary Pallbearers will be co-workers of Fox Systems, Inc.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2 until 4:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

ALLEN


MR. JACK B. ALLEN, SR., age 80, of Unity Church Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, in a Rome hospital.  A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, He was born to the late Middleton Allen, Jr. and Naomi Bolling Allen, on May 30, 1937.  Mr. Allen was a member of the Summervile First United Methodist Church, an entrepreneur, served in the U. S. Army Reserve, a member of Chattooga Lodge #704 F & AM, and a member of the Chattooga Shrine Club.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, the late Jacklyn Allen, a sister, the late Anne Lindsay, and brother, the late Middleton Allen, III.

            Surviving are His wife, Gail P. Allen; sons & daughters-in-law, Jack Bryant, Allen, Jr. & Martha Prince Allen, and William Michael Allen & Johnna Allen; grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen, John Allen, and Krista Allen; a Niece and three Nephews also survive.

            Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 26th, at 3:30 P.M. from the Summerville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Judy officiating, Interment in Bethel Cemetery, with Masonic Honors by Chattooga Lodge #704.  Honorary Pallbearers Jim Woodard, Ron Edwards, Tom Self, Jimmy Barron, Joe Dawson, Billy Cook, Tom McCurdy, Bob & Ebbie Brison, Gary McConnell, Gordon Little, and Jerry Westbrooks.  The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Sunday, from 12:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers the Family suggest contributions the Summerville First United Methodist Church, the Chattooga Lodge #704, F & AM, or the Chattooga Shrine Club.
