Mrs. Carol Ivey

MRS. CAROL IVEY, age 79, of Selman Drive, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 24th 2019, at her residence.  A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, she was born to the late Hoyle and Ruth Warren Hughes on May 15, 1940.  She and was a Homemaker, a self employed Seamstress for many years, and attended the Church of Christ.  Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her husband, the late William C. (Bill) Ivey and a nephew, the late Eddie Plemmons.

            Surviving are son and daughter in law, Chuck and Rhonda Ivey; sister, Mollie Plemmons; grandchildren, Felicity Ivey, Aden Ivey, and Sam Ivey; niece, Sonia Knight; nephew, Kenny Plemmons; special friend, Joe Phillips.

            Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27th, at 1:00 P.M. from Graveside in West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jim Chastain officiating.  There will be no visitatioin.

Ivaline McCary

IVALINE MCCARY, age 85, of Saratoga Way, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday morning, July 23, 2019, in a Rome Hospital.  A native of Cherokee County, Georgia, she was born on April 15th 1934 to the late Reuben Thomas and Laura Jane Gamble McCary.   She was a Paralegal for Life of Georgia.

Surviving are sister, Dorothy (Roy) Robertson.  Several Nieces and Nephews.
           
Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 25th at 2 P.M from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hayes  officiating, interment in the Summerville Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers will be David Morgan, Donnie McCary, Kyle Hughes, Charles Lineberger,        


The Family will receive friends Thursday, July 25th, from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.

Ms. Kay E. Cooper

MS. KAY E. COOPER, age 72 of Willow Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday morning, July 17, 2019, in a Rome hospital.   She was born in Chattooga County, Georgia to the late Dewey and Martha Manning Brown on August 31, 1946.   Ms. Cooper was a member of Horizon Baptist Fellowship and was retired from the assembly department of Roper Corporation.  She was preceded in death by a brother, the late  Pankney Brown.

            Survivors include daughter-Sally and Jason Cash; son-Shawn Broome;  grandchildren, Lauren Cash, Brooklyn Cash, Jarrod Broome, and Logan Broome; special friends, Carolyn Ferguson, Betty Johnson, Teresa Brooks, Leila Ward, and Pam Rhinehart.

            Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 20th, at 1:00 P.M. from  Greenhills Memory Garden with Pastor Barry Brown officiating.  Active Pallbearers Jarrod Broome, Logan Broome, Jason Cash, Gary Brown, Matt Veitch, Dickie Vaughn.  The Family will be at the residence of the daughter Sally and Jason Cash #160 Bice Lane, Summerville, Georgia.
