MR. ROD HARDEMAN, age 88, of Allen Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011, at his residence. A native of Fort Payne, Alabama He was born to the late Homer Harley, Sr. and Edna Rosa Beaty Hardeman on November 27, 1922. Mr. Hardeman was a member of Summerville First Baptist Church, Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy, and was retired Sales Representative for Chemical Processing of Georgia. He was preceded in death by a son-the late Rodney Hardeman, sister-the late Flora Mae Whisenant, and brothers-the late J. B. Hardeman, the late Ed Hardeman, and the late Winfred Hardeman.

Surviving are His wife-Frances Thomas Hardeman; son & daughters-in-law-Gary R. & Arlene Hardeman and Jan Hardeman of Summerville; three Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren; brother-Homer Hardeman, Jr. of Douglasville; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 15th, at 2:00 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Summey and Rev. Doyle Waters officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Pallbearers-James Moore, Gerald Dempsey, Buddy Young, Jerry O'Donnell, J.B. Cleveland, Dick Lowery, Chris Corbin, Harold Jackson, Earle Rainwater, & Charlie Williams; Honorary Pallbearers-Seekers Sunday School Class of Summerville First Baptist Church. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Summerville First Baptist Church.
