MR. EUGENE DENNEY, age 74, of Orchard Hill Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, evening at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, He was born on July 26, 1937. Mr. Denney was a Veteran of Korea serving in the U.S. Navy and was retired from law enforcement and the security industry. Surviving are His wife-Mary Carol Knowles Denney; daughters & sons-in-law-Teresa & Jimmy Collette of Lyerly and Sandra & Sherman Rutledge of Summerville; granddaughter-Salley King; brother-Art Denney of Huntsville, Al. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 12th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Russell & Rev. Terry Shores officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Active pallbearers, Gene Noles, Rodney Dempsey, Jimmy Collette, Tim Daley, Chris Noles, and Shane Noles; honorary pallbearers, Billy Noles, Junior Noles, and Lloyd Noles. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
