MRS. MATTIE M. BROOME, age 95, of West Armuchee Road, Subligna community, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Walker County, Georgia on July 25, 1917, a daughter of the late John M. and Martha Edwards Fowler. Was preceded in death by Her husband the late Faye H. Broome. She was a member of the Subligna Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters-Charlotte Chapman of Subligna, Shelia Bridges of Ringgold, and Debra Jackson of West Armuchee; sons-Marion Broome of Calhoun, Jackie Broome of East Armuchee, and Billy Broome of Summerville; 15 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25th, at 2:00 P.M. from the Subligna Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Bishop and Rev. David Pruitt officiating, interment in Subligna Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Landon Hair, Jeffery Hair, Kevin Chapman, Don Jackson, Adam Jackson, David Broome, Sean Broome, and Brad Broome. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Saturday from 5 until 8 P.M. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
