Rev. Walter Lee Morgan

REV. WALTER LEE MORGAN, age 81, of Piedmont Avenue, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013, in a Rome hospital. He was Pastor of New Faith Tabernacle for the last 9 years and was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on February 28, 1932, a son of the late General Forest Morgan and Mary Ellen Dooley Morgan. Rev. Morgan was preceded in death by a sister, the late Essie Mae Hayes, and two brothers, the late Gene Morgan and the late Harvey Morgan. Surviving are wife-Nell Morgan; daughters and sons-in-law-Cheryl Jenise and Donald R. Thedford, Jr. and Janice Lynn and Randy Gene Jennings all of Summerville; son and daughter-in-law Rickey Michael and Brenda Faye Morgan of Cedar Bluff, Al.; Grand Daughters and Grand sons-in-law- Stacy Lee and Jeffery Scott Kirby, Amy Lynn and Jeremie Dexter Wallin and Tiffany Nicole Jennings. Grandsons and Grand Daughters-in-law- Clayton John Madison, Jr. and Terra Johnson Madison, Justin Adam and Alaina Danielle McGuire. Great Grand Daughters- Kelsy Jo Johnson, Abigail Madison, Allison Madison and Ashley Nicole Kirby. Great Grandsons- Bradley Scott Kirby, Justin Addison Cole Mcguire, Joseph “Joey” Daniel Wallin, Aaden Bailey Shane McGuire and Austin Eugene Hunter McGuire. Great-Great Grandson- Casison Johnson. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Don and Rhonda Mason officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Randy Jennings, Justin Adam McGuire, Jeffery Scott Kirby, Clayton John Madison, Jr., Jeremie Dexter Wallin, Steve Morgan, Roy Ellenburg, Mike Wright and Johnny Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Wright, James “Fred” Sumner and Sammy Tapp. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6: 00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
