Mr. Arlin Lenuard Blevins, Sr.

MR. ARLIN LENUARD BLEVINS, SR., age 83, of Lula, Georgia, formerly of Summerville, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2015, while attending a family reunion in West Virginia.  Arlin was retired from Midwest Steel and Quality Finishers and was a Korean War Veteran.  He spent his days in retirement taking care if his special needs son, Ronald, and frequented the Summerville McDonalds restaurant daily for over 20 years.  Arlin was born in Cuzzie, WV on January 27, 1932, son of the late Willard and Nera Jane Sanders Blevins.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years Edith Mullis Blevins, a son, Arlie Blevins, and sisters, Virginia “Ginger” Blevins, Josephine Hayes, and Vicie Hubbs died earlier.
           
Surviving are sons, Ronald Blevins and Richard Blevins, Lula, Ga.; sisters, Velba Blevins of Ranger, WV. Clara Miller and husband Paul, Barboursville, WV, Mona Miller and husband Dale, Chapmanville, WV; brothers-in-law, Harley Hubbs, St. Shores, MI, Gary Hayes, Summerville; sister-in-law, Almeda Blevins, Covington, KY; grandchildren, Arlin L. Blevins, III, Sara Blevins and Joshua Blevins all of LaFayette, Isaac Blevins and Rosemary Blevins of Lula, GA; several Nieces and Nephews.
           
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 28th, from J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Burns and Richard Blevins officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery in Trion, GA.  Active Pallbearers Tommy Hayes, Stan Smith, Jim Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Ben Hege, and Isaac Blevins; Honorary Pallbearers Harley Hubbs, Gary Hayes, Johnny Mason, and the Staff of Summerville McDonalds.  The Family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services at the Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Family in Arlin’s memory.
