MR. JACKIE
MATNEY, age
61, of James Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday evening, May
15, 2019, in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, He born
to the late James H. and Ethel Murdock Matney on August 28, 1957. He was retired from Mount Vernon Mills, were
he was a hyster driver; and was preceded in death by siblings the late Ruthie
Hamby, Benny Matney, and James Matney.
Surviving are His companion, JoAnn
Edwards; siblings, Rachel Ashworth, Ray Cundiff, Kay Hamby, Jeannie Robertson,
and Wayne Matney.
Funeral services will be held
Saturday, May 18th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Memorial Chapel of
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Sumner and Rev. Kevin Norton
officiating, interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers James Abernathy, Curtis Cochran, Anthony Hamby, Dewey
Padgett, Daniel Laney, and Preston Allmon.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the
Funeral Home.

charge of arrangements for Mr. Jackie Matney who passed away Wednesday.
