MRS. EDNA LEA SHIVER HELTON, age 87, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022, in the local nursing home. Born in Crossland, Georgia on October 31, 1934, she was a daughter of the late J. C. and Allie Mae Williams Shiver, wife of William Buck Helton. Mrs. Helton was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church and retired from Rebeaming Department of Mount Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, the late Jack Austin Warren, a brother, the late Otis Shiver and a step daughter, Becky Dean.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Rick Wyatt; grandson, Stacy Wyatt; great grandson, Will Wyatt; sister, Linda (Alan) Green; step children, Donna Tyson, Terry Helton, Michael Helton, and Mary Ann Helton; a number of Step Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15th, at 11:00 a.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Helton officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery, active pallbearers will be Stacy Wyatt, Will Wyatt, Michael Green, Marc Green, Farrell Shiver. Visitation will be Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
