MR. JERRY THOMAS WRIGHT, age 84, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 in a Rome hospital. Mr. Wright was born in Cedartown, Georgia, July 31, 1939, son of the late Jay Wright and Mozelle Collins Wright. He worked in Chemical Sales for many years before his retirement in 2004. Mr. Wright was a member of the National Guard and Baptist by faith. In addition to his Parents, He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Bowen; granddaughter, Ashley Wright; and step child, Kimberly Rochester.
Surviving are his wife, Annette Vanpelt Wright; children, Scott Wright (Candi), Christy Baker (Jeff), Brent Wright (Nancy); grandchildren, Tiffany Payton (Craig), Brittany Mathis (Josh), Bre Merrell (Wayne), Christopher Wright, Cody Baker, Jack Wright, T. J. Wright and Jamie Knight; brother, Jimmy Wright (Anne); 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the Graveside with Rev. Jason Boyd officiating, interment in Polk Memory Gardens, Cedartown, Georgia. Active Pallbearers, Christopher Wright, Jack Wright, Cody Baker, Jay Stroud, T. J. Wright, Wayne Merrell, Mark Parkinson, and Tony Wright. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon from Earle Rainwater Funeral Home Summerville, Georgia.
