MR. DONNY H. SCOGGINS, age 81, of Ramey Street, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2024, at Atrium Health Floyd Chattooga, following a sudden event. He was born in Summerville, Georgia on February 22, 1943, a son of the late Benjamin Delaney and Rosell Maxey Scoggins. A member of the Subligna Baptist Church and for many years He owned and operated Scoggins Garage in Pennville. In addition to Parents, He was preceded in death by first wife, the late Eula Belle Scoggins on September 27, 2014 and a son the late Brent Scoggins on July 12, 2018, siblings, Edward Scoggins, Blanche Bean, Ruby Brewster, None Maxwell, and Carrie Ann Morrow all passed away earlier.
Surviving are wife, Carol Scoggins; son, Kevin (Sandra) Scoggins; step son, Kyle Parris; brother, Johnny (Eleanor) Scoggins; grandchildren, Terry & Brandi Eller and Nathan & Jennifer Thompson; great grandchildren, Alex Stewart, Logan Eller, Sara Thompson, and Addie Thompson; special niece, Beth Kellett; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17th, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Bishop officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Jody Stoner, Michael White, Jim Wright, Alex Stewart, Logan Eller, and Ray Casey; Honorary Pallbearers Stacey Whited, Chris Scott, and the North Georgia Cruisers. The Family will receive friends Monday evening 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
