Richardson, Rev. Jack H.

REV. JACK H. RICHARDSON, age 88, of Trion, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, at his residence.  Born in Gillette, Wyoming on January 14, 1925, He was a son of the late Bert E. and Johnnie Eugenia Hair Richardson.

At an early age Rev. Richardson moved to Dalton, Georgia, attended Whitfield County Schools, and served in the U. S. Navy during WW II.  He was graduated from Truitt-McConnell College and Mercer University in Georgia, and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky.  He was a Minister of the Gospel having pastored the following Baptist Churches Mountaintown in Ellijay, Hill City in Calhoun, Dug Gap in Dalton, Tunnel Hill in Tunnell Hill, McConnell Memorial in Hiawassee, and Elk Creek in Taylorsville, KY.  Rev. Richardson retired from the Georgia Baptist Convention, in 1992, having served Chattooga, Gordon, and Memorial Associations as Missionary for 20 years.  He was a member, Deacon, choir member, and teacher/organizer of the Seekers Sunday School Class of Trion First Baptist Church.

            Surviving are His wife, Jean E. Richardson; daughters & spouses-Amy and Dale Cruse of Dalton and Ann Marie and Chet Hollomon of Rome; grandchildren-Tyler Cruse, Richard Lewis, Amy Sarah Lewis; great grandchildren-William Lewis and Piper Lewis; sisters-Jean Hogsehead of Dalton, Frances Silvey of Ringgold, Carol Hammond, Decatur, TN, and Pat Toland of Sanford, FL; brother-Harold Richardson of Jacksonville, FL; several Nieces and Nephews.

            Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. from the Trion First Baptist Church with Dr. Floyd Roebuck and Dr. Warren Moorhead officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Deacons and the Seekers Sunday School Class of Trion First Baptist Church.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 until 7:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers the Family request contributions to the Building Fund of Trion First Baptist Church, #95 Church St.-Trion, Georgia-30753.
