Anderson, Mr. James "Cotton"

MR. JAMES “COTTON” ANDERSON, Sr., age 74, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, evening in the local nursing home.  Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 23, 1939, He was a son of the late John Vernon and Prissy Lula Nation Anderson.  Mr. Anderson was Church of God by Faith, served in the U. S. Air Force, and was a Welder for Superior Mechanics Service.  Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his first wife the late Glenda Joyce Jones Anderson. 

           

            Surviving are daughters and spouses-Donna and Donnie Goodson, Frances and Randall Worley all of Summerville, and Tammy Young of Chattanooga; sons and daughters-in-law-James, Jr. and Patty Anderson and Leighton and Zeta Anderson all of Trion; half sister-Idella Payne of Rossville; 13 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28^th,  at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Norton officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Randall Worley, Christopher Worley, Anthony Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Josh Jones, Jerry Jones, Jeff Jones; Honorary Pallbearers Staff of Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  The Family will receive friends Thursday prior to service time at the Funeral Home.
