Mr. William Max Thomas

MR. WILLIAM MAX THOMAS, age 64, of Orchard Hill Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, evening in a Rome hospital.  He was born to the late Roy Pierce Thomas, Sr. and Saralyn Sue Parker Thomas , who survives.  Mr. Thomas was Baptist by Faith, and was retired salesman for Jewell Tea Company.  Max loves his ministry work, providing Bibles through the community and sharing his faith in Christ.  His children and family were his next greatest treasure.  Mr. Thomas was preceded in death, in addition to his Father, a brother the late Roy Pierce Thomas, Jr. and wife, Betty Hyatt Thomas.

            Surviving are mother, Saralyn Sue Parker Thomas; children, Amanda Celeste Thomas, Melissa Anne Hyatt-Bode (James), Kevin Max Thomas, William Adam Thomas (Misty); sisters, Susan Thomas Martin (Carl), Lisa Thomas Hughes (Rickey), Beth Thomas Houser (Jimmy), Lori Thomas Howell, (Smokey); grandchildren, Chasity Thomas, Melanie McGill, Celeste Hollingsworth, Carle Lou, and Walter Evan Thomas; four Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23rd) at 11:00 A.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Shores and Chaplain Ricky Studdard officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Adam Thomas, Daniel Calhoun, Larry Hunter, Cassidy Houser, Gabe Howell, and Bryce Martin; Honorary Pallbearers Tony Burse, Staff of Oakview Nursing & Rehab Center, Lookout Mt. Community Services, the Hair Shop, and Employees of Farm Bureau.  The Family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
