Mr. Rickey Louis Peek
MR. RICKEY LOUIS PEEK, age 61, of Sizemore Road-Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, in a Rome hospital. Born in Ft. Payne, Alabama on December 4, 1952, a daughter of the late Billie Brewster Peek. He was a member of Springcreek Baptist Church, and was retired from the finishing department of Mt. Vernon Mills. Mr. Peek was an avid music lover, singing and playing in numerous bands for most of his life. He was preceded in death by step father, the late Robert Stancil.
Surviving are wife-Patsy Peek; step mother-Linda Stancil; son-David (Sherri) Peek of Calhoun; grandson-Brett Peek; sisters-Darlene Henderson of Ft. Payne, AL., Jan (Randy) Prince and Lynn (Steve) Evans all of Summerville, Gayle (Mark) Waycaster of Calhoun; brother-Michael (Cathy) Stancil of Adairsville; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2nd, at 3:00 P. M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Wilborn
officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers-Michael Lee Stancil, Johnny Ingle, Wilson Mann, Eric Evans, Mark Waycaster, Randy Prince, Steve Evans, Tommy Minard; Honorary Pallbearers-all former Band Members. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 1 P.M. until the hour of service.
