MISS PAESLEI HOPE WHITMIRE, age one month, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013, afternoon in a Decatur, Georgia hospital. She was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on August 21, 2013, infant daughter of Sasha Carr and Jeff Whitmire of Summerville; other survivors include paternal grandparents-Tina and Randall Evett of Chattanooga; maternal grandmother-Veronica Pickard of Hartwell; maternal great grandparents-Delmar and Renee Carr of Boaz, AL.; great grandparents-Teresa Barnes of Summerville and Tevis Carr of Dawson, AL.; sister-Kaelei Whitmire; brother-Jaidyn Whitmire both of Summerville; several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Ministers Tevis Carr, Barry Williams, and Ricky Sumner officiating, interment in Pennville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers-Taylor Pickard and Jonathan Evett. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

MRS. ELLA ELIZABETH KING ABNEY, age 92, of Rome, Georgia formerly of Summerville, passed away Thursday morning in Rome. A native of Menlo, Georgia, She was born to the late James Edgar and Minnie McWhorter King on October 15, 1920. Mrs. Abney was a member of Summerville First Baptist Church, retired social worker for the Chattooga County DFCS after 36 years of service, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late James Dwight Abney and brothers-the late Robert William Kingthe late James King and the late Paul King, Sr..
Surviving are Her son and spouse, James King and Charlene Abney of Rome; grandsons-Robert Kelly Abney and Jesse Aaron Abney; step grandson & spouse-Christopher and Patricia Watson; 1 Great Granddaughter; 3 Step Great Grandchildren; 1 Step Great Great Grandchild; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 P.M. from the Family plot in Summerville Cemetery with Rev. Scott Lambert officiating. Active Pallbearers-Marvin Howell, Scott Copeland, Malcolm Lee, John Stubbs III, Robert Abney, Jesse Abney, and Larry Schlachter. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

MR. JUDSON G. CROWDER, age 78, of Cummings Road-Trion, Georgia passed away Monday, September 23, 2013, evening at his residence following a brief illness. A native of Randolph County, Alabama, He was born to the late Jewel Frank and Blanche Moselle Owens Crowder on February 26, 1935. Mr. Crowder was a member of New Hope North Baptist Church and was owner/operator of C & R Trucking Company and retired from Bronze Trucking. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was preceded in death by two brothers-Randy Crowder and Frankie Crowder.
Surviving are wife-Mona Bartlett Crowder; daughters-Rhonda Crowder of Carrollton, Nikkie Gay of Lineville, AL., and Heaven Bartlett Crowder of Trion; sons-Steven Crowder of Nigeria, Michael Spicer of Hephzibah, Ga., and Timothy Bartlett of Trion; Five Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26th,at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Clark, interment in White Cemetery. MRS. SHIRLEY ANN JOHNSON, age 71, of Alexander Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, in a Rome, Georgia hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born in Chattooga County, Georgia to the late Charles and Jewell Rape Parks on June 5, 1942. A member of the Farrell Baptist Church, a retired waitress from Jim’s Family Restaurant, and was preceded in death by a son, the late Hubert Lynn Johnson, Jr. and great grandson, the late Brandon Shaffer.
Surviving are Her husband, Hubert Johnson, Sr.; daughters-Terra Ann Madison and LaWanda Paige Shaffer; sister-Annie R. Williams of Summerville; grandchildren-Kelsey Joyce Johnson, Abigail Nichollet Madison, Allison Keera Madison, Austin Shaffer, and Jasmine Daneil Shaffer; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 25th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Rev. David Ray officiating, interment in the Family lot of Summerville Cemetery. Active PallbearersJohn W. MRS. FRANCES E. CARGLE, age 84, of Dry Creek Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday morning at her residence. She was born in Dry Creek Community to the late Edward Reece and Mamie Louise Elsberry Tudor on October 4, 1928. Mrs. Cargle was a member of the Fisher’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband , the late Houston Cargle, Jr. on February 1, 1996,granddaughter the late Kimberly Cargle, sister-the late Mildred Smith McGuire, brother-the late J.W. “Jake” Tudor, and brother-in-law-the late Fred Townsell.
Surviving are, sons and spouses-Ronnie and Sarah Cargle and Jeff and Paula Cargle; granddaughter-Suzanne Bailey, great granddaughter-Lexie Bailey; sisters and brother-in-law-Winona and Billy Hughes all of Summerville and Rebecca Townsell of Fort Oglethorpe; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 20th, at 11:00 A.M. from the Fisher’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverends David Autry, Jerry Wolfe, and Art Graves officiating, interment in the Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Eddie Gentry, Mike Rench, Tommy Cargle, Donnie Smith, Andy Hughes, Cody Hughes, Kevin Espy, and Darrin Smith; Honorary Pallbearers Josh Tudor, Charles Tudor, Melvin Plunkett, Junior Payton, Weymon Tudor and William Mitchell.
