Mr. Jeff Todd

MR. JEFF TODD, age 57, of Silver Hill Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, in a Sevierville, Tennessee hospital, following a sudden illness.  A native of Trion, Georgia, He was born on January 29, 1960, to the late Charlotte Kay Johnson Todd and Johnny Todd, who survives.  Mr. Todd was a member of Pennville Church Christ, and was employed by Inland International Papers of Rome, in the wood yard.

            Surviving are His wife, Cindy Todd; father, Johnny Todd; children, Mandy Todd, Molly Todd  (Robby) Eversole, Jarin Blevins, Daniel Blevins, Ashley Smith, and Logan Blevins; sisters, Secret (Phil) Ingle, Tara (Joey) Jones; brothers Britt (Denise) Todd, John Todd, Jr., and Michael Thomas; grandchildren, Remi Eversole, Mylee, Bradlei, Curt, Finn, and Huck Blevins, Sadie and Sawyer Smith;  several Nieces and Nephews.

            Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 26th, at 2:00 P.M. from the Pennville Church of Christ with Ministers Robby Eversole and Charles Box officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden.  Active Pallbearers Britt Todd, John Todd, Jr., Jarin Blevins, Daniel Blevins, Logan Blevins, Cain Smith, Tim Luallen , and Tony Johnson; Honorary Pallbearers, Nephews and the Trion Wrestling Team.  The Family will receive friends at Pennville Church of Christ, Tuesday, December 26th, from noon until the hour of service.

Mrs. Evelyn G. Wilson

MRS. EVELYN G. WILSON, age 96, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, in the local nursing home.  She was born in Fannin County, Georgia on November 19, 1921, a daughter of the late Andrew and Dora Stepp Campbell.  Mrs. Wilson was Baptist by Faith, a retired Nurse, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Dean Wilson, also preceded by siblings, Bonnie Robinson, Edith Ingram, Bertie Bennie, Dorothy Campbell, Jess Campbell, Roy Campbell, Frank Campbell, Earl Campbell, and Roger Campbell.

            Surviving are three sisters, Louise Stoker, Pearl Barfield, and Mary Blackmon; brother, Johnnie Campbell; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Felix Lebron Beene

MR. FELIX LEBRON BEENE, age 71, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017, in an Augusta hospital.  Born in Trenton, Georgia on July 6, 1946, He was a son of the late Cecil Beene and Dora Elizabeth Usry Beene who survives.

            Surviving are daughter, Kimberly Rutledge of Trion; son, Donald Hammonds of Calhoun; mother, Dora E. Beene of Trion; brothers, Leroy Beene of Chattanooga and Ronnie Beene of Trion; grandchildren, Cody Beene, Ciara Pene, and other Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12th, at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating, interment in Beene Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Cody Beene, Devin Beene, Tommy Smith, Jerry Holbrook, Scott Wish, and Fred Lawson.  The Family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 P.M. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Norman Eugene Early Sr.

MR. NORMAN EUGENE EARLY SR., age 81, of Unity Church Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, December 4, 2017, in a Rome hospital.  A native of Helena, Ark., He was born to the late Sidney Coleman and Elvia Chamness Early on February 21, 1936.  Mr. Early was retired from the U. S. Air Force and U.S. Army after 26 years of service and also was a retired industrial mechanic for Zardic Corporation.  Mr. Early was preceded in death by brothers, the late Sidney Early, James Early, and Leon Early.

            Surviving are His wife, Sandra Hawkins Early; daughter, Dawn Hackett of Haines City, Fl.; son, Rodney Early of Lakeland, Fl. and Norman Early, Jr. of Buford, Ga.; sisters, Dora Early Clark of Creve Coeur, Ill. and Linda Honeycutt of Searcy, Ark.; step children, Lisa Sanford, Stacy Tudor, and Leigh Ann Smith; 13 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8th, at 1:30 P.M. from the Springcreek Baptist Church with Brother Chris Holmen and Rev. David Romine officiating, interment in Little Sand Mt. Church Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Jerry Mixon, Stacey Tudor, Craig Sanford, Rodney Early, Nick Smith, and Norm Early, III.  The Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lou Ellen Durham

MRS. LOU ELLEN DURHAM, age 93, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, evening in the local nursing home.   She was born in Walker County, Georgia on October 28, 1924, a daughter of the late William M. and Ola Tinney Broome.  Mrs. Durham was retired from the spinning department of Mt. Vernon/Riegel Mills after 45 years of service, was a Charter member of Midway Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Thomas Young Durham.

            Surviving are Her son & daughter-in-law, Thomas Wayne and Jill Durham; grandchildren and spouse, Josh Durham, Tiffany and L.J. Schrader; great grandchildren, Landyn Durham, Brooklyn Durham, and Damin Schrader; sister, Inez Hardeman; brother, Tommy Broome; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Monday, December 4th, at 11:00 A.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Patterson and Minister Tommy Broome officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden.  Active Pallbearers Josh Durham, Landyn Durham, Damin Schrader, L. J. Schrader, Brooklyn Durham, and Ben Johnson; Honorary Pallbearer Rick Silberman, Billy Dempsey, and Nurses and Staff of Oakview Nursing & Rehab. Center.  The Family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
