Mrs. Sybil Hames Langston

MRS. SYBIL HAMES LANGSTON, age 77, of Rome, Georgia, formerly of Dry Valley Road, Summerville, passed away  Wednesday afternoon, November 20, 2019, in a Rome Senior Center.  Born in Tunnel Hill, Georgia on July 16, 1942, She was a daughter of the late Fred Joe and Myrtle Ruth Smith Hames.  She was a school Teacher, retired from the Menlo School after many years of service and a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Don F. Langston, sisters, the late Jean Ponder, Elizabeth Gill, Virginia Gunn, and Linda Edwards, and brothers, the late Bob Hames, Fred “Cooter” Hames, and Herman Hames.

            Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Valarie and Mitch Glass; granddaughters, Lindsey Glass and Keri Glass; brother, James Richard Hames; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Friday, November 22nd, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Jeffery Edwards, Chris Mauer, Fred Gunn, Christopher Mauer, and Billy Joe Hames; Honorary Pallbearers, Staff of Riverwood Senior Living and former Teachers of Menlo School.  The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Menlo School STEM LAD or Jekyll Student Scholarship Fund, at any United Community Bank.

Mr. Billy Joe Kiser

MR. BILLY JOE KISER, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Monday afternoon, November 18, 2019, in a Rome hospital.  Born in Bartow County, Georgia on May 3, 1947, He was a son of the late William (Bill J.) and Ruby Belle Craig Kiser, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Kiser, and two grandchildren, Grandville Westbrooks and Benjamin Westbrooks.   Mr. Kiser was Holiness by Faith.

            Surviving are His wife, Shirley Ann Kiser; daughter, Tausau (Jimmy) Westbrooks; son, Trampus J.J. Kiser; sister, Nan Crosswhite; grandchildren, Mandy and Cody McGraw, Austin Kiser, Katelyn Kiser, Corey Holbrook; great grandchildren, Autumn Henderson, Elizabeth Henderson, Kinleigh Henderson, Raven Kiser, Braxton McGraw, Alice McGraw, Lukus McGraw; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23rd, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright, Rev. John Mann, and Rev. Jason Boyd officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Daniel Crosswhite, Randal Crosswhite, Cody McGraw, Jimmy Westbrooks, Cory Holbrook, and Austin Kiser.  The Family will receive friends Friday (November 22nd) from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anna Rae Woodall

MRS. ANNA RAE WOODALL, age 74, of Adairsville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019.   A native of Sweetwater, Tennessee, she was born on September 3, 1945 to the late Homer and Minnie Simpson Johnson.  Mrs. Woodall was retired Supervisor for Harding Manufacturing Company. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a sister, the late Patricia England; and a brother, the late Hubert Johnson.

            Surviving are her husband, Walton Benson Woodall; daughter, Rita (Lamon) Woodall Ware; son, Walton (Maria) Woodall; and sister, Vola (Jerry) Wofford; several nieces and nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 17th at 2 p.m. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of the Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Mr. Lamon Ware and Minister Aubrey Ware officiating, interment in Ami Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Stan Wofford, Damion Moore, Kalen Willingham, Jordan Willingham, Clayton Madison, and Austin Shaffer.  The Family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

GORDON

MRS. FRANKIE DAWSON GORDON, age 88, of Gore Community, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at her residence.  A native of Chattooga County, she was born in Gore Community on September 23, 1931 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Floyd Dawson.  She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, was retired Trion City School Teacher, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Thomas Harold Gordon; son, the late Barry Gordon; granddaughter, the late Tonya Taylor; great grandsons, Grant Taylor and Cody Fulmer; great, great granddaughter, Paisley Fulmer; brothers, the late George Dawson, Gene Dawson, and David Dawson all died previously.

            Surviving are daughter and spouse, Mary (Robert) Taylor; sons and spouses, Gary (Tina) Gordon and Mark (Connie) Gordon; sister and brother-in-law, Jan (Harold) Ragland; brother, Joe Dawson; Ten Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, Five Great Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16th, at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev.
