Mr. Stanley Eugene Meeks, Sr.

MR. STANLEY EUGENE MEEKS, Sr., age 77, of Cloudland, Georgia, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018, at his residence, following an illness.  Born in Coalmont, Tennessee on September 19, 1941, He was a son of the late Frank and Louise Short Meeks.  Mr. Meeks was retired fabrication manager for White Truck and after retirement operated a golf shop in Rome, Georgia for several years; He attended the Unity Church.

            Surviving are His wife, Denna Day Meeks; son, Stanley, Jr. & Kelly Meeks; sister, Carol & Donnie Bernardinett; brother, Danny & Patricia Meeks; step daughter, Tiffany & Bruce Agee; grandchildren, Corey & Alysa Meeks, Michael & Amandy Meeks, Demie Meeks, Mathieu Agee, and Bryson Agee.

            A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Faye Ann Schmitt officiating.

Ms. Tammie Stevette Gilreath

MS. TAMMIE STEVETTE GILREATH, age 50, of Harrisburg Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday afternoon, September 22, 2018, in a Rome hospital.  Born in Rome on June 1, 1968, She was a daughter of the late Nancy Berry Gilreath and Steven E. Gilreath who survives.   Ms. Gilreath was project manager for the Georgia Building Authority with 20 plus years of service.

            Surviving are Father, Steven E. Gilreath; sisters, Shanna Dodd, Tania Rounsaville, Kathy McGuire; Nieces and Nephews, Jordon and Jason Warren, Derek and Shalyn Dodd, and Olivia Stancil; great niece and nephew, Kendall Warren and Eisley Warren.

            Visitation will be Monday, September 24th, from 6 until 8 P.M. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.  The Family will have a private Memorial Service at a later date.

Ms. Kim Denise Stanley


MS. KIM DENISE STANLEY, age 63, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in a Rome hospital following a brief illness.  Born in Savannah, Georgia on April 21, 1955 to the late Ralph Monroe Stanley and Pat Tedder Stanley, who survives.  She was a School Teacher and had taught in the Trion and Walker School systems, and was a member of Son Rise Community Church.

            Surviving are Her mother, Pat Stanley and daughter, Ryan Tucker.

            Private graveside was held September 21, 2018.

            The Family received friends Saturday, September 22nd, at Son Rise Community Church.

Mr. Jerry Wayne Bramlett

MR. JERRY WAYNE BRAMLETT, age 77, of Summerville, Georgia, formerly of Rome, passed away Wednesday in a Rome hospital.  Mr. Bramlett was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on August 30, 1941, was a son of the late Earl and Goree Bullard Bramlett.  He was retired from the Automobile Industry and was preceded in death by his companion the late Kathryn McDonald and a half brother, the late Glen Marshall.

            Surviving are son-Barry Wayne Bramlett; step children, Keith McDonald, Billy McDonald, and Kim McDonald; sisters, Sandra Copeland and Teresa Brooks; brothers, Earl Lamar Bramlett and Eddie Bramlett; half brother, Randy Marshall; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22nd, at 3:30 P.M. from Graveside in Oaknoll Memory Gardens of Rome, with Rev. Casey Bramlett officiating, interment to follow.  Active Pallbearers Brett Copeland, Mike Clem, Jeff Coley, Jamie Coley, Wess Maddux, and Bryan Blackwell.  The Family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barbara Ann Teague Gorham

MRS. BARBARA ANN TEAGUE GORHAM, age 76, of Orchard Hill Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, morning, September 18, 2018, at her residence.  A native of Trion, Georgia, was born to the late Cecil Benjamin and Nettie Rudell Fell Deering, on July 12, 1942.  She was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church, was retired from Mohawk Mills Needling Department, and was preceded in death by her first husband the late Donald Teague, son, the late Hoyt Teague, and sister, the late Shirley Wallings.

            Surviving are Her husband, Garvin Gorham; daughter, Donna Ann Teague; step son, Jeff Gorham; grandchildren, Tye McGuire, Dillon McGuire, Alisha Stevens, Tiffany Johnson, Emily Gorham; great granddaughter, Allie Grace Stevens.

            Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21st, at 4:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Pastor Harold Helton and Wayne Pace officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers David McGuire, Jeff Gorham, John Ware, Buddy Gentry, Randy Rush, Randy Hunter; Honorary Pallbearers, members of New Antioch Baptist Church.  The Family will receive friends Friday from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
