Mrs. Clara Warren

MRS. CLARA WARREN, age 95, of Peach Blossom Lane, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, evening in a Rome hospital.  A native of Chattooga County, She was born to the late John Marion and Leila Walter Barrett on August 30, 1922.  Mrs. Warren was both a Homemaker and antique dealer and member of Horizon Baptist Fellowship.

            Surviving are Her husband, Brimp Warren; daughter and spouse, Cynthia and Charles Carden; son, Matthew Warren; granddaughters and spouses, Daniel and Andrea Hayes, Ashley Hall, Daniel and Ansley Smith, Jason and Amanda Wright; great grandchildren, Caden Smith, Emma Kate Smith, Libby Claire Wright, and Cali Cavallo.

            Funeral service will be held Friday, February 23rd, at 1:00 P.M. from Greenhills Memorial Garden with Rev. Steve Spears and Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating.  Active Pallbearers Daniel Hayes, Daniel Smith, Jason Wright, Caden Smith, Jimmy Evans, Kyle Kellett, Blake Weaver, and Sebastian Cavallo; Honorary Pallbearers Amedisys Home Health Care. The Family will receive friends Friday at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home from 11 A.M. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Berlin Ladonn Ware

BERLIN LADONN WARE, age 50, of Orchard Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018, evening in a Rome hospital.  Born in Chattooga County, Georgia on December 27, 1967, She was a daughter of David Etchison and Charlotte Maxine Perry Montgomery, who survives.  Mrs. Ware was a Homemaker and a member of the Sprit in Truth Church.

            Surviving are daughter, Desiree Ware; son, Marvin Ware; mother Charlotte Montgomery; father, David Etchison; sisters, Teicher Thurman, Gloria Etchison, Shasta Hall, and Prisilla Former; brothers, Perrie Montgomery and David Etchison; grandchildren, Janaryha Ware, Jamariha Lofton, Almon Sams, Braylun Ware; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 22nd, at 1:00 P.M. from the New Spirit Truth Assembly of Jesus with Bishop V. T. Hardin officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Carl Wedgeworth, Sigmond White, Reo Perry, Mikie Perry, John Anthony.  The Family will receive friends Thursday from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at Sprit In Truth.

Ms. Dianne L. Burge

MS. DIANNE L. BURGE, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018, evening in a Rome hospital.  She was born in Trion, Georgia on December 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Rev. Frank B. Lewis and Lyndell S. Lewis.  Ms. Burge was a retired nurse.

            Surviving are sisters, Linda Gail Wagoner of Statesville, N.C. and Alma Lewis of Summerville; aunt, Norma Perry of Rossville; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Peppers officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon until 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Ms. Cleo Floyd

MS. CLEO FLOYD, age 91, of Lick Skillet Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at her residence.  She was born in Lyerly, Georgia, Chattoogaville Community, on September 5, 1926, a daughter of the late John L. and Lena Mae Poovey Floyd.  Ms. Floyd was Baptist by Faith and retired from the Georgia Rug Mill preparation department and had worked in the glove mills in Menlo, Lyerly, and Trion.  In addition to Her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Arthur Floyd, Jack Floyd, Bob Floyd, Max Floyd and sister Myrtle Floyd.

            Surviving are daughters & sons-in-law, Glenda & Joe Norton and Jackie & Randy Weaver; son & daughter-in-law, Bobby & Dorothy Marshall; long time companion and care giver, Tony Watson; sister-in-law, Mammie Lou Floyd; grandchildren, Barry (Fayla) Vaughn, Stacy (Shelley) Vaughn, Jason Vaughn, Gary (Tonya) Cook, and Chris (Summer) Cook, Lorie Marshall Raburn, Leslie (Tyler) Helton; Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13th, at 3:30 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Sanford Deberry and Rev. Joel Smith officiating, interment in Johnson Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Barry Vaughn, Stacy Vaughn, Jason Vaughn, Gary Cook, Chris Cook, Cody Vaughn.  The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:30 P.M. until 3:30 P.M.

Mr. William Preston (Bill) Greer

MR. WILLIAM PRESTON (BILL) GREER, age 85, of Holland Road, Rome, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at his residence.  Mr. Greer was born on October 6, 1932 in Farrell, Alabama, a son of the late William Thurmon and Jane Ray Greer.  He was a member and past Elder of the Rome Church of Christ, was retired from Temple-Inland Corporation, and was an avid bee keeper.

            Surviving are His wife, Rita Greer; daughters and spouses, Wilma & Terry Maynard and Gail & Mike Burnett; sons and spouses, Preston & Kay Greer and Ashley & Elizabeth Greer; grandchildren, Cathie Maynard  (Wade) Nolan, Will Greer, Magan Greer, Kailen Greer, Dillon Greer, Kellie Martin, Tania Villagomez, Kim Villagomez; great grandchildren, Eli, Ansley, & Ian Nolan, Michael Martin; sisters, Mary Louise & Bo Bohannon and Nancy & Ralph Mann; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Steve Rogers officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery.  The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M.
