MR. EMMETT JAMES PARKER, age
81, of Bellah Avenue, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 29,
2015, at his residence. A native
Chattooga Countian, Mr. Parker was born to the late Jessie Lee and Florence
Bowling Parker, on October 2, 1933. He
was Church of God by Faith, a Veteran of Korea, serving in the U. S. Marine
Corps, and was retired from Mohawk Industries.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by a sister, the late Emily Parker, and
brother, the late Charles Parker.
Surviving are His wife of 35 years,
Dicey Parker; daughters, Shelia (Doyle) King, Mrs. Donna Blackmon, Ms. Diane
Reese, and Mrs. Janie Lashley all of Summerville; seven Grandchildren, ten
Great Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held
Friday, July 31st, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel
of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Hutchins and Rev. Terrell
McBrayer officiating, entombment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Active Pallbearers, Gene Lashley, Dwight
Bowling, Allen Trammell, James Carroll, Tim Grogan, Evan McCurry, and Ty
Hutchins; Honorary Pallbearers, Nurses of Heyman Hospice Care. The Family will receive friends, at the
Funeral Home, Thursday from 6 until 8 P.M.
