MRS. BEATRICE
GARDNER, age
92, of Foster Street, Lyerly, Georgia passed away Monday, February 27, 2017,
in a Rome health care. A native of
Chattooga County, Georgia, She was born to the late William Oscar and Grace
Beatrice Garner Reece, on May 31, 1924.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of Lyerly United Methodist Church, and served
as Membership Secretary and Historian of the church; she was also a member of
the W. M. U. of Lyerly United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, the late Benjamin F. (Ben)
Gardner, and three Great Grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters and spouse,
Mary Elizabeth Clements of Silver Creek and Patricia & Artie Pledger of
Lyerly; son and spouse, Butch & Nancy Gardner of Summerville; brother,
Frank A. Reece of Lyerly; special friend, Rose Jackson; nine Grandchildren,
twenty four Great Grandchildren, and four Great Great Grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday, March 1st, at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial
Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Brett Clements and Rev.
Marshall Bryan officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Rev. Shane Clements, Rev.
Ben Clements, Tyler W. Pledger, Corey Wells, Nick Robinson, and Guthrie
Frazier; Honorary Pallbearers, members of the Lyerly United Methodist Church W.
M. U. Visitation will be Wednesday from
1 P.M. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the Family suggest
contributions to the Lyerly United Methodist Church W. M. U.
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
