BLALOCK. . . . .
MRS. WANDA ORR BLALOCK, age 62, of Lyerly Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday (January 17, 2009) at Her residence following a brief illness. Born in Trion, Georgia on March 9, 1946 to the late Roy and Nora Crane Orr. She was a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church and was retired Teacher from the Trion School system. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband the late Michael Blalock.
Surviving are son-Josh Blalock of Summerville; beloved “special children”, Luis Gonzalez and Belle Gonzalez; special friends and sisters in Christ, Grace Sunday School Class of Dry Valley Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday (January 19th) at 2:30 P.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Weaver and Rev. Waydell Howell officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers-Wayne Parker, Roy Bowers, Johnny Collette, Buford Lee Fox, Tommy Pettyjohn, and Sammy Pilgrim; Honorary Pallbearers-Fellow Teachers and former students of Trion High School and the Grace Sunday School Class of Dry Valley Baptist Church.
