MRS. REBECCA JAYNE RODGERS, age 58, of Gaylesville, Alabama formerly of Holland Community/Lyerly for 30 years, passed away Sunday (March 1, 2009) morning at her residence following an illness. A native of Cherokee County, Alabama she was born to the late James Dan Richey, Sr. and Frances Tevis Pruitt Richey on July 28, 1950. Mrs. Rodgers was a teller for AmSouth Bank for 20 years; later She was a Life Insurance Salesperson. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Gordon Rodgers.

Surviving are daughter & son-in-law-Laura & Ronald Bice of Summerville; grandchildren-Matthew Bice and Brittany Carmon; step grandchildren-Kevin and Tiffany Bice and Vinita Youngblood; sister-Gail Dorsett; brother-James Danny Richey both of Center, AL.; two nieces-April Greene and Denise Cope.

Visitation will be Monday (March 2nd) from 5 until 7 P.M. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow @ 7:00 P.M. (Monday evening) from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenny Roach officiating, interment will be Tuesday in the new Hope South Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Jerry Greene, Phillip Clack, Sr., Phillip Clack, Jr., Max Cope, Richard White, and Larry Pettyjohn.
