MR. BRUCE ALLEN CRAIN, age 57, of Polk Street-Menlo, Georgia passed away Wednesday (April 15, 2009) in a Rome hospital following a brief illness. A lifetime resident of Chattooga County, He was born May 25, 1951. Mr. Crain was Baptist by Faith and was Head Sawer for J. P. Smith Lumber Company in Menlo, Georgia..

Surviving are His wife-Carolyn Simpson Crain; mother-Billie Brewer Crain of Summerville; father-Bert Crain of Menlo; daughters & sons-in-law-Tracy & Johnny Payton of Menlo, Rhonda & Barry Blalock of Mentone, AL.; son & daughter-in-law-Kevin & Angie Crain of Menlo; sister & brother-in-law-Brenda & Ed Hammitt of Summerville; brother & sister-in-law-Doug & Terri Crain of Gaylesville, AL.; grandchildren-Lindsey Little, Jordon Little, Caleb Payton, Conner Payton, Erica Blalock, Dustin Blalock, and Braden Crain; sisters-in-law-JoAnn Bain of Gaylesville, AL. and Alisa Gladney of Summerville; brother-in-law-Donnie Simpson of Chatsworth; Nieces and Nephews; special friends-Gary & Trina Howell of Summerville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Howell and Joseph Bain officiating, interment in Alpine Cemetery. Active Pallbearers-Jon Bain, Kevin Smith, Dennis Tucker, Greg Martin, Rick Walker, Steve Tate, David Gifford, and Marty Johnson. Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the Chattooga County Food Bank.
