MRS. FANNIE MAE HUNTER, age 88, of Rocky Hollow Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday (April 15, 2010) afternoon in the local nursing home. A Chattooga County native She was born to the late Roy Clinton and Hattie Lemuel Veatch Allmon on May 1, 1921. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Midway Baptist Church, retired from Reigel Textile Corporation, and was preceded in death by her husband the late John Hunter on July 9, 2005.
Surviving are daughters and spouses-Kathleen Moon of Rome, Patricia & Delmer Williams of Leesburg, FL., and Sandra & Mike Richardson of Rutledge, GA.; 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren; special step great grandson Anthony Moon & wife Becka; 9 Step Grandchildren, 21 Step Great Grandchildren, 12 Step Great Great Grandchildren; sisters-Nellie B. Davenport of Summerville and Margaret Knight of Atlanta; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday (April 18th) at 4:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Graham officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Grandsons. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
