MRS. GUSSIE M. STANSELL, age 84, of Trion, Georgia, Teloga Community, passed away Wednesday morning at her residence. Born on March 5, 1927 in Walker County, She was a Daughter of the late N. J. Pettyjohn, Sr. and Julia Jones Pettyjohn. Mrs. Stansell was a member of Shattuck Blvd. Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband the late John Wesley Stansell.
Surviving are daughters and husbands-Debbie & Gene Smith and Judy & John Jenkins all of Teloga; son and wife-Randall & Dreama Spears of Dalton; brother-Nichols J. Pettyjohn, Jr. of Teloga; grandchildren-Missy Hogan, Crissy Geiger both of LaFayette and Randy Spears of Menlo; great grandchildren-Tyler Spears, Kaylan Hogan, and Julia Hogan; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday (June 4th) at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, interment in Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers are Randy Spears, Gleen Broome, Robert Pettyjohn, Gary Gilreath, Larry Cook and Lewis Brown. Visitation Saturday from 1 until 3 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
