MR. C. D. “TINY” LONG, JR., age 67, of Hammond Drive-Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011. Born in Cartersville, Georgia on November 16, 1943, He was the son of the late Charles Daniel Long Sr. and Frances Louise Howell Long. Mr. Long was a member of Harrell Street Church of God of Union Assembly. A Minister of the Gospel, He had taught heating/air conditioning and electrical at Northwestern Technical College, and was a member of Trion Lodge #160 F & AM. He was preceded in death by a son, the late Glenn Hester.

Surviving are wife-Judy Long; daughters-Gevetta Samples, Melissa Hamilton, and Retta Howard all of Summerville; sons-Danny Hester of Trion, Charles Daniel Long, III and LeBron Long both of Summerville; Grandchildren-Jodi, Charletta, D.J., Tanner, Morgan, Aaron, Sam, Natalie, Donovan, Hannah, Alyssa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5th, at 2:00 P.M. from the Harrell Street Church of God of Union Assembly with Rev. Denny Smith, Rev. Kenny Payne, and Mr. Shawn Pratt officiating, entombment in Greenhills Memory Garden with Masonic Rites by Trion Lodge #160 F & AM. Active Pallbearers Thomas Hamilton, Todd Howard, James Samples, Jason Jackson, Preston Hamilton, Dewayne Tinney, Corey Butler, Jim Dungan, Wayne Payne, Charlie Huskey, Clayton Pierce, Junior Kellett, and Jimmie Jones; Honorary Pallbearers-Jimmy Adams, Charlie Pratt, Johnny Jones, Johnnie Gentry, Ed Burke, Doc Tanner, Herbie Roberts, Randy Croy, Robert Spears, Harry Lewis, Kenneth Payne, Freddie Bell, Bill Gann, David Floyd, Leo Burke, Ken Westmoreland, Jerry Jackson, Ronnie Jackson, and all Ministers and Deacons of the Church of God of Union Assembly. Visitation will be Monday, July 4th, from 4 til 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
