MRS. JUANITA MASSEY MARTINEZ, age 80, of Ridgeway Drive-Trion, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, in a Rome hospital. A native of Chattooga County, She was born on April 13, 1931 to the late Charles E. and Grace Jackson Massey. Mrs. Martinez was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son the late Billy Gentry on April 29, 2001, and brothers-the late Leroy Massey, Robert Massey, Pat Massey, and J.D. Massey. Surviving husband-John Martinez; daughters-Carolyn Gentry and Anna Gentry; son-Donnie Gentry all of Rome; sister-Frances Seymore of Trion; several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Cowart and Rev. Roger Keith officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Eddie Massey, W.J. Keith, David Peace, Steve Seymore, David Massey, and Horace Payton; Honorary Pallbearers the Ladies of New Bethel Baptist Church. The Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
