MR. TOMMY MORRISON, age 68, of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Chattooga County, Georgia on September 15, 1943 to the late Paul and Jewell McCollum Morrison. Mr. Morrison was retired from heat and air conditioning and a Veteran of Viet Nam serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by a brother the late Mike Morrison. Surviving are His wife-Jody Morrison; daughter-Robin Brown; son-Toby Morrison; granddaughter-Brecklyn Brown all of Lyerly; sister-Paula Cleveland and Carrie Morrison both of Lyerly, and Donna Ponder of Orange Grove, FL.; brothers-Ed Morrison and David Morrison both of Louisiana; several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30th, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Dewayne Teague and Pastor Jerry Rutledge officiating, interment in Johnson Cemetery, with Military Honors by Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 American Legion-Rome, Georgia. Active Pallbearers Jerry Cook, Wallace Cook, Tim Cook, Joe Reed, Rich Green, Dale Williams, Eric Reynolds. Visitation Thursday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
