MS. CATHERINE MANNING, age 74, of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in a Rome hospital. She was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on April 21, 1937 to the late Foster and Ruth Brewer Manning. A member of Lyerly United Methodist Church, Ms. Manning was retired School Teacher from the Floyd and Chattooga County systems.
Surviving Christine Battles, Phyllis & Earl Battles, Robert Battles, Misty & Jim Colbert, Gracie & Madison Colbert, Miracle Battles, Dillan & Jessi Colbert, and Ted Fuller.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1st, at 11:00 A.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating, interment in South Carolina Campground Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Robert Battles, Jim Colbert, Jason Newton, Michael Cabe, Carlton Battles, and Butch Newton. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
