MR. BILLY JOE CROY, SR., age 74, of Espy Street-Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, afternoon following an extended illness. A native of Trion, Georgia, He was born to the late Allen Lester and Mary Frances Bailey Croy on June 12, 1937. Mr. Croy was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church , a Veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Korean Conflict, and was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by a son the late Billy Joe Croy, Jr. Surviving are His wife, Betty Jo Croy; sons & daughters-in-law, Randy & Wanda Croy of Trion and James & Lucy Croy of Calhoun; sister-Maggie Fox of Trion; brother-Earl Croy of Summerville; grandchildren-Joseph Croy, Kevin Croy, and Amanda & Justin Brown; great granddaughter-Ella Brown. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Sumner and Rev. Jessie Bankson officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be the following grandsons and Nephews, Joseph Croy, Kevin Zach Croy, Justin Brown, Randy Croy, Ronnie Croy, and Joey Jones. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 12:00 Noon til 2:00 P.M. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
