MRS. DOROTHY CHAPPELEAR, age 87, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, in the local nursing home. She was born in Henagar, Alabama October 6, 1924 to the late Hugh Roy and Ella Anderson Riley. Mrs. Chappelear was a member of Summerville First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Surviving are son-Steve Chappelear of Summerville; sisters-Clara Bohannon of Summerville and Sarah John Durham of Trion; Grandchildren- Christi Smith, Lisha Mickey and Steve Chappelear II; Seven Great Grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25th, at 4:30 P. M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Summey officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Jimmy Miller, Brad Miller, Kyle Miller and Ben Smith; Honorary Pallbearers the Nurses of Oakview Nursing & Rehab. Center and member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. at the Funeral Home.
