Mr. Dan Young

MR. DAN YOUNG, age 79, (known as Deputy Dan) of Rose Circle, Trion, Georgia passed away Thursday evening at his residence. Born in Valley Head, AL. on November 27, 1934, He was a son of the late Floyd and Leona Clark Young. Mr. Young was a retired deputy from the Chattooga County Sherriff’s office. He was preceded in death by first wife, the late Annie Harris Young, siblings, the late Billy Young, the late Lorene Moore, the late Margaret Faye Young, and the late Charlotte Young. Survivors include wife-Barbara E. Young; daughter-Angie Williamson of Trion; son-Allen Young of Douglasville; Step-children- Cindy Romines of Fort Oglethorpe; Sheryl Campbell of Summerville, Jan Allen and Robbie Allen both of Lyerly; sisters-Nancy Wilson, Frances Cordle both of Summerville, and Linda Pledger of Orlando, Fl.; brothers-Rev. Richie (Bo) Young of Jamaica and Budd Young of Summerville; nine grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. from the West Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Young, Rev. Lavon Humphrey, Rev. Kevin Woods and Rev. Bo Young officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Matt Williamson, Jarod Williamson, Micah Young, Jonathan Hudgins, Ricky Campbell and Robbie Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be all Law Enforcement personnel. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
