MRS. OLA JANE MCWHORTER, age 94, of Watson Road, Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday in the local rest home. A native of DeKalb County, Alabama, Mrs. McWhorter was born to the late Robert L. and Tavie Garmany Timmons on March 19, 1920. She was retired from the card room of Riegel Textile Corporation, enjoyed fishing, and crocheting. Mrs. McWhorter was preceded in death by husband, the late W. R. McWhorter.
Surviving are daughter-Jean Westbrook of Trion; son-Ralph E. McWhorter of Trion; sister-Analee Dotson of Trion; brothers-J.B. Timmons and Arlie Timmons both of Trion; seven Grandchildren, ten Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14th, at 12:00 noon from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Biddle officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Jerry Timmons, Eddie Timmons, Larry Timmons, Haskell Dotson, and Sammy Westbrook; Honorary Pallbearers, “F” Hall Nurses of Oak View Nursing and Rehab. Center. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Friday, from 9 A.M. until the hour of service.
