MR. MELVIN M.
BURKE, age 81,
of Mitchell Circle, Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, September 4, 2015,
at his residence. A native of Trion,
Georgia He was born to the late Fred S. and Evie Irene Jones Burke on April 16,
1934. Mr. Burke was a member and Deacon
of Harrell Street Church of God and a retired owner/operator Truck driver. He was preceded in death by a son the late
Rex Burke; sisters, Shelby Gentry, Phyllis Lambert; brothers, John L. Burke,
Marvin Burke.
Surviving are wife, Ester Ruth
Burke; daughters, Marshell Roberts, Orlando Millican, Phyllis Bell, Tina
Treadaway, Kimberly Nichols; sons, Frederick Burke and Eddie Burke; sister,
Mary Morris; brothers George Burke and Ed Burke; 23 Grandchildren, 33 Great
Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held
Sunday, September 6th, at 2:00 P.M. from the Harrell Street Church
of God with Pastor Kenny Payne and Rev. Rockland Hughes officiating, interment
in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will
be Grandsons. The Family will receive
friends Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements for Mr. Melvin M. Burke who passed away Friday.
