MRS. BETTY BANDY POPE, age 76, of Shinbone Valley
Road, Menlo, Georgia passed away Monday,
December 7, 2015, evening in a Rome hospital.
A native Chattooga Countian, She was born to the late Leonard and Lois
Dover Green on October 30, 1939. Mrs.
Bandy attended the Berryton Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her
first husband the late John C. Bandy, a son the late John Duel Bandy, daughter,
the late Betty Diane Leonard, sister, the late Nancy Crider, and brothers, the
late Larry, Ray, Richard, and Jerry Green.
Surviving are Her husband, Wayne
Pope; sisters, Charlotte Woody of Berryton and Sadie Croy of Lyerly; grandchildren,
Michael Leonard, Connie Geimer, and Luke Bandy; son-in-law, Jimmy Leonard; several
Nieces and Nephews; special friends, Becky Payne and Juanita Battles also
survive.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday, December 9th, at 2 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial
Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Skates officiating, interment in the Bandy Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Chris Blanks, Marty Green,
Brandon Croy, Michael Leonard, Tufton Blanks, and Olen Woody; Honorary
Pallbearers the Nurses of Harbin Dialysis Center, Summerville. The Family will
receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 12 noon until the hour of
service; the Family also request no food.
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements for Mrs. Betty Bandy Pope, who passed away Monday
evening.
