MRS. GEORGIA WARDLAW, age 98, of Rome, Georgia,
passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016, in a Rome health care center. She was born in Summerville, Georgia on
November 29, 1917 to the late Milton and Myrtis Chapman Hix. Mrs. Wardlaw was a member of West Rome Baptist
Church, retired from Sears Catalog Department, and was preceded in death by her
husband of 62 years, the late Roland L. Wardlaw, a daughter , the late
Georgiana Wardlaw, and nine Brothers and Sisters.
Surviving are 3 sons, David (Linda) Wardlaw
of Cedartown, Miles (Carole) Wardlaw of Bowden, and Guy Wardlaw of Sarasota,
Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Betty Elrod of Trion; several Grandchildren, Great
Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday,
November 13th, at 3:00 P.M.
from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home,
with Rev. Ken Oates and Mr. David Wardlaw officiating, interment in West Hill
Cemetery. Pallbearers Ross Wardlaw. Jay
Wardlaw, Justin Wardlaw, Hank Wardlaw, Andrew Wardlaw, and J. T. Williams.

Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
