MRS. EDITH VIRGINIA JONES HAYES, age 86, of Dawsonville,
Georgia, formerly of Trion, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, evening at
her residence. She was born in Trion on
January 6, 1931, a daughter of the late Sherllie and Willie Mae Marshall
Jones. Mrs. Hayes is a graduate of Trion
High School, a member of the Bice Memorial Baptist Church, and was retired
executive reservations specialist for Eastern Airlines. She was preceded in
death by her husband, the late James Alec Hayes on June 16, 2000.
Surviving
are daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Hayes and David Richardson; son, James M.
Hayes all of Dawsonville; granddaughter & spouse, Shannon and David Mayer;
great grandchildren Chloe and Lawson Mayer; sister-in-law, Faye Jones;
brothers-in-law, Shorty Hawkins and Billy Hayes.
Visitation
will be Monday, January 23rd, from 1 until 3 P.M. at Earle Rainwater
Funeral Home with burial to follow in Trion Cemetery with Dr. Warren Moorhead
officiating.
