Mr. Carmon E. Wright

MR. CARMON E. WRIGHT, (Dan/Dan to his family) age 97, of Old Highway #337, Menlo, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017) evening at his residence.  He was born in Walker County, Georgia on February 2, 1920, a son of the late Grover C. (Bud) and Minnie Clark Wright.  Mr. Wright was U. S. Army Veteran of WW II, a self employed auto mechanic and saw mill operator.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, the late Sandra Hurley, sisters, the late Catherine Chamblee and Ruth Martin, and brothers, the late Paul Wright, Fred Wright, and Alvin Wright.

Brave-Proudly served his country in time of war, always had the courage to step out and tackle jobs most of us would shy away from.
Brilliant-he had a mind that could find a way to resolve the biggest obstacles and could build anything he wanted.  Cars, sawmills, house, there were no limits.
Gentle-He was a strong man who had a big heart, big hands but gentle hands.  He loved and cared for all living creatures, birds, cats, dogs, all animals and most of all his family from the smallest to the biggest, he enjoyed spending time with them all.
Simple-While he was very intelligent and Strong minded, he enjoyed the simple things in life the most.  He didn’t want any recognition.  Wanted nothing to draw attention to him.  All he wanted was to enjoy his log cabin, he built, visit with family and friends.  Some of his most enjoyable days were spent riding around through the country with his daughter, or playing guitars with his son.
           
            Surviving are daughter, Rita Ezell; son, David Wright; sisters, Elsie Cooper and Jane Bishop; brother, Jimmy Wright; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14th, at 7 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Minister Gary McCurdy officiating, visitation will be 5 until the hour of service Thursday.  Interment will be 11 A.M. Friday in Garrett Cemetery, active pallbearers-Lee Cooper, Tim Cooper, Jim Wright, Jason Chamblee, Larry Wesson, and Justin Evans.  At other hours the Family will be at the residence of the daughter Rita and Glenn Ezell #1061 Orchard Hill Road, Summervile, Georgia
