MRS. KATHERINE
ANNILEE DODSON,
age 94, of Williams Cemetery Road, Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday
evening, October 10, 2018, at her residence.
She was born in Flat Rock, Alabama on October 28, 1923, a daughter of
the late Robert L. and Emma Tavie Garmany Timmons. Mrs. Dodson was Baptist by Faith and was
retired from the Preparation Department of Mount Vernon Mills. She was preceded in death by husband, the
late Marvin Haskell Dodson, brothers, Robert Timmons, R. B. Timmons, J. B.
Timmons, Tom Timmons, and sisters, Ola R. McWhorter, Alice Ward, and Urry Nell
Young all died earlier.
Surviving are daughters, Dianne and
Darrell Welch and Darlene and Jimmy Tyler all of Trion; son, Haskell and Deana
Dodson of Armuchee; brother, Arlie Timmons of Trion; 14 Grandchildren, 28 Great
Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also
survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday,
October 13th, at 1:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph McWhorter and Rev. Ricky Biddle
officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers, Otis Laney, Morgan Laney, Jonathon Dodson, Austin
Miller, Paul Carter, and Simon Carter; Honorary Pallbearers, Leroy Laney, Tad
Simms, and Chris Petitt.
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
