Mr. Dewey Nolan Allmond

MR. DEWEY NOLAN ALLMOND, age 60, of Summerville, Georgia , loving father, son, and brother, passed away suddenly, April 30, 2019.  He was a member of the Faith and Character Building Ministry at Walker State Prison, a member of the choir, coaching the men’s softball team.  Mr. Allmond was very active in the ministry and was working on an associates degree in theology, hoping to continue to minister to others through his testimony.  He was a carpenter by trade, spending spare time drawing and planning beautiful homes to build through his contracting business.  He had a passion for softball and competing in any sport he could be involved in.   He always made you smile and laugh with his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.

            Surviving are mother, Glenda Allen; father, Samuel Allmond; daughters, India Elizabeth Jones, Kristen Allmond Rose; sons, Kory Allmond and Nolan Allmond; grandchildren, Kaleb Jones and Emmersyn Rose; brothers, Harold Dewayne (Ruby) Allmond and Derrill Lee (Stephanie) Gilliland; sisters, Sherryl Kay Gilliland (Dennis) Broome, Becky Ledbetter(Mark) Brown, and Tracy Allmond  Duvall; several Nieces and Nephews.
            Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Jason Lee officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers Joseph Allen Hays, Robert Jason Hays, Dakota Weston Brown, Samuel Charles Allmond, Joshua Dewayne Allmond, Franky Eugene Majors, Troy Allen Staehly, Tony Ray Staehly; Honorary Pallbearers members of Faith and Character Building Ministry at Walker State Prison.  The Family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
