MRS. WANDA JO PRATHER, age 72, of Filter Plant Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020, in a Rome hospital. A native of Chattooga County, she was born to the late John and Sara Martin Blackwell on January 17, 1948. Mrs. Prather was a member of the Summerville First United Methodist Church and was retired lab technician for Mohawk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband the late Robert Gideon Prather; siblings, Ralph Blackwell, Bill Blackwell, Ronald Blackwell, and Tommy Blackwell.
Surviving are in daughter and son-in-law, Elena and Matt Floyd; grandchildren, Anna and Doug Craig, Jamey and Will Floyd; sister Sara Anna and Mike Stoker; brothers, Bob and Diane Blackwell, Don and Nancy Blackwell, Danny Ray and Cristy Blackwell, Gary and Teresa Blackwell; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24th, at 2:00 p.m. from the Graveside in Summerville Cemetery with Brother Russ Blackwell officiating. Active Pallbearers Gary Blackwell, Jamey Floyd, Doug Craig, Luke Blackwell, John Blackwell, and Jeff Blackmon; Honorary Pallbearers Sara Anna Stoker, Anna Craig, Peggy Rosson, Sandy O’Bryant, April Blackwell; special thanks to Fresenius Kidney Care, Amtran Transport, Dr. Jamie and Luke Lin.
