MRS. BETTY MAYES MOORE, age 89, of Cloudland, Georgia, passed away Friday morning, September 15, 2023, in the local nursing home. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, was born to the late Cecil and Lucy Lee Talton Mayes, on March 5, 1934. Mrs. Moore was a member of Howard Chapel Baptist Church, was retired from Lockheed Corporation security department, and in addition to Parents was preceded in death by a sister, the late Miriam Powers.
Surviving are Her husband, James Thomas Moore; son, Jerry Haney; nieces, Brenda Paladino and Debbie Verner; Four Grandchildren also survive,
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21st, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Mason officiating, interment in Cloudland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 until 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
