MR. VERLON THOMPSON, age 95, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Section, Alabama, he was born on August 10, 1931 to the late William Conn and Lena Mae Baugh Thompson. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of Korea, a member of the Summerville First Baptist Church, and was a self employed Automobile Dealer, retired. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter the late Amy Julia Thompson, and two brothers, the late Rev. James Thompson and the late Raymond Thompson.
Surviving are his wife, Montyne Thompson; daughters, Molly (Dan) Moore and Jody (Kathy) Thompson; sons, Kenny (Debbie) Thompson, Tony Thompson, Sammy Thompson, and Bobby (Mitsie) Thompson; grandchildren, Shanna (Cheryl), Matthew, Jonathan (Alexa), David, Jenna, Jesse (Kevin), and Karsyn (Brooke); several Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.
