MR. ELLIS F. (COOKIE) COOK, age 65, of Farm Road-Trion, Georgia passed away Monday (July 27, 2009) in a Rome hospital. A Chattooga County native He was born on June 19, 1944 to the late Clarence and Annie Spain Cook. Mr. Cook attended the Trinity Baptist Church and was retired from the tufting department of Mohawk Textile.
Surviving are wife-Kathi Cook; daughter & spouse- Andrea & Joey Norton of Rome; step daughters & spouses-Faith & Jerry Wigley of Trion, Jennifer & Kevin Binkley of Summerville; brother & spouse-Rex & Imogene Cook of Summerville; grandsons-Trey Norton, Gabriel Norton, Chris Wigley, Jared Wigley, Bink Binkley, Caleb Binkley; mother-in-law & father-in-law-Mardene & Melvin Turner of Trion; sisters-in-law & brother-in-law-Melba Floyd of Summerville & Debbie & Tony Gilleland of Trion; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (July 30th) at 3:30 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Odom, Mr. Tony Gilleland, and Rev. Mike Odom officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Jonathan Bumgarner, Sonny Dillard, Howard Dillard, Greg Cook, Kevin Binkley, and Jerry Wigley; Honorary Pallbearers members of Trinity Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
