MR. JAMES D. BAKER, age 78, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, in a Rome hospital. A native of Kingston, Georgia He was born to the late Gordon and Maggie Wright Baker on November 30, 1933. Mr. Baker served in the U. S. Army and was retired Quality Inspector from Ford Motor Company. He was preceded in death by a sister the late Edna Puryear and a brother the late Charles Baker. Surviving are son-Kevin Baker of Summerville; grandchildren-Blake Baker, Hailey Baker, and Kyle Baker; sister-Janie Nell Baker of Albany, Georgia; care givers-Martha and Jerry Strickland of Summerville. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24th, at 12:00 noon from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dempsey and Rev. Billy Wright officiating. The Family will receive friends Saturday from 10 A.M. til noon. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
