MRS. IRENE HUNTER BRYANT, age 77, of Marvin Avenue-Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, morning in a Rome hospital. Born in Copperhill, Tennessee, She was a daughter of the late Lester C. and Lena Hunter Ledford. Mrs. Bryant was Baptist by Faith, retired from Defenders Company, and was preceded in death by husband, Floyd Bryant, son, William Bryant, and daughter, Diane Bryant.
Surviving are daughters-Brenda Johnson of Dalton, Linda Mauldin of Lawrenceville, Shirley Morgan of Center, AL, and Ann Corbett of Richmond, VA.; sons-Robert Bryant, Terry Bryant, Bobby Bryant, and Stoney Bryant all of Summerville; half sister-Ruth Hamby; brother-Kelley Edgeworth both of Summerville; special friend-Roy Durham; several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11th, at 3 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright officiating,
Interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers, Tommy Slaughter, Christopher Phipps, Joe Phipps, Jeffery Bryant, Billy Bryant, Steven Bryant, and Jason Bryant. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home. At other hours the Family will be at the residence of a grandson-Christopher Phipps #86 Savannah Lane, Summerville.
